"EARTHLY ANGELS"

The autistic and slow
Are far blessed than we know,
For after life’s journey
It’s heaven they’ll go.

 They know only love
Just lack hatred and sin,
They are “Earthly Angels”
For Christ is within.

 God flows through these children
Like fountains of grace,
To remind us of compassion
In a sweet, happy face.

 For they have a mission
And purpose on earth,
Just as did Jesus
By death after birth.

 Not taken as pity
But a privilege so rare,
To nourish these little ones
Placed in our care.

 Many ask why
Or search for a cure,
But acceptance of God’s will
Gives strength to endure.

 Rejoice to you who understand
And help their special needs,
God’s great reward to you awaits
For all your kindly deeds.
