TEAM UP TO BEGIN SWIM PROGRAM

SWIM LESSONS FOR KIDS WITH AUTISM

The Greater Pittston YMCA, in partnership with the Earthly Angels Autism Fund of the Luzerne Foundation, are offering children with autism a structured swim lesson program that follows the YMCA of the USA swim lesson progression program.  Children who participate in the  program will learn water safety and swim skills needed for life. The YMCA is one of the largest providers of swim lessons in the United States and follows the YMCA of the USA Progressive Swim Lesson program guidelines for swimming as the basics for the program.

Three sessions are being offered in 2005 and are as follows:

Session I—March 21—May  16

Summer Session II –June 6-August 1

Fall Session III –August 29 -October 24

Days/Times:

Mondays

3:30PM—5:30PM

*Classes are 1/2 hour in length

Class Times available:

3:30-4:00PM       4:00-4:30PM       4:30-:500PM       5:00PM—5:30PM

There will be a pool party at the end of each session, parents, and siblings are invited
