ST. PATRICK’S DAY PARADE

The Earthly Angels Autism Fund of the Luzerne Foundation had a great day promoting autism awareness through the streets of Scranton, PA. Sunny weather, a high temperature of 64 and a tribute to firefighters from New York marching in the parade led to an estimated 70,000 people lining the downtown streets for the afternoon.

"The crowds along the street were usually 10 or 11 people deep," Mr. Gilhooley said. "That's pretty big. Weather dictates a lot of how popular parades are, and it really cooperated with us (Saturday) for the first time in a few years."

OUR MISSION:

The Earthly Angels Autism Fund of the Luzerne Foundation was created to develop an autistic public awareness program; to provide funding to assist in education and school based autism programs; to fund services and therapies developed for autism and to provide the opportunity for other non-profit organizations to apply for grants that will help local families with autistic needs.
